Living in Israel

Living overseas creates a very different way of life than what we’re accustomed to in America. Getting through each day can often be stressful, especially when daily demands and chores are to be completed in a foreign language! However, living in Israel has its own set of frustrations as well as joys and a sense of immense pride as the only Jewish country in the world. Perhaps living abroad would help us all have more appreciation for life in America.

Marcy was born and raised in South Jersey and decided after college to attend a graduate study program in Israel. There she met a young man from Zimbabwe who became her husband. Together they had two children but Marcy became homesick and persuaded her husband to try life in America. They spent six years in Israel living through humorous and scary events; never dull!
