Presented by Rabbi Michael Feshbach

Michael Feshbach is the Rabbi of Congregation Beth Israel, in Northfield, NJ. He arrived in South Jersey in July 2022, coming from the United States Virgin Islands, where he served as rabbi of the Hebrew Congregation of St. Thomas. Before returning to Washington, close to where he had grown up, he was a rabbi in Boca Raton, Florida; Erie, Pennsylvania; and Buffalo, New York.

Rabbi Feshbach helps people find their own voice within the Jewish world. He believe s that a Jewish community should be a place for openness, for inclusiveness, welcoming Jewish families in all the varied forms in which they come today. He tries to shape a space of energy and engagement and ideas, a place where ‘a thousand flowers bloom.’

He is a Senior Rabbinic Fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute of Jerusalem, Israel. He has been blessed to learn and work with teachers and colleagues from all streams of Jewish life. He participated in the development of online outreach, through “Ask a Rabbi” responses for the Union for Reform Judaism, Moment Magazine, and in the early days of America Online.
