Holding Our Humanity Together
Dr. Jennifer Warren
This presentation explores how we come to know ourselves—not just believe ourselves—as part of the interdependent web of all existence. Drawing on Unitarian Universalist principles, Power of Release spiritual philosophy, and insights from somatic and nervous-system awareness, listeners are invited to consider how being embedded within uncertain conditions shape our capacity for compassion and justice. Centering the influences of self-regulation on what we can perceive and sustain individually and together, an accessible approach is presented to understand how interdependence operates at personal, societal, and global levels, and how to hold our humanity with compassionate action and shared responsibility. Listeners will leave with a deeper sense of how their lives are woven into the lives of others and how tending that connection can guide more caring
and just choices.
Jennifer R. Warren, PhD is a thought leader and ordained interfaith minister who dedicated over 20 years researching how social systems shape human experience and become internalized. She later recognized that people, including herself, are constrained by both external influences and their internal residue. These insights motivated her transition out of academia and inspired her transformative memoir, The Power of Release: Journeying from a Closed Fist to an Open Hand and The Power of Release spiritual philosophy and practice that addresses emotional, energetic, and embodied holding. This work comes to light through her teaching, speaking, and spiritual guidance with Power Prophet LLC, where Dr. Warren helps people release what is embodied that no longer serves them.
